About Me

My name is Selvamurugan Ramamoorthy, and I am a Data Engineering and Cloud Architecture leader specializing in secure, compliant, and scalable data platforms for healthcare and life sciences. I am passionate about building systems that protect patient data, support scientific discovery, and enable organizations to make better, faster, and safer decisions with the information they rely on every day.

I began my career with a deep curiosity for how data moves through an organization—and how the right architecture can transform an entire workflow. Over the past 19 years, that curiosity has grown into expertise across cloud platforms, data engineering, healthcare compliance, and large-scale system modernization. I enjoy solving complex problems, designing elegant solutions, and mentoring teams to think with clarity and precision.

Outside my core work, I am committed to contributing to the broader technical and scientific community. I serve as a judge for STEM competitions, publish articles, speak at conferences, and participate in professional organizations such as IEEE, HIMSS, DAMA, and AMIA. These roles allow me to share knowledge, support innovation, and help the next generation of engineers and scientists grow.
